Photo Guidelines – Adults & Children Over 1 Year
When taking your photo, please follow these important guidelines:
⚠️ Clothing (Very Important)
Do NOT wear white shirts or white T-shirts.
The background is white, and wearing white may cause your photo to be rejected.Choose solid, medium to dark-coloured clothing.
Additional Guidelines:
Glasses: Glasses are NOT allowed.
Face Visibility: Full face must be visible from forehead to chin.
Hair Accessories: Avoid clips, headbands, or decorative items.
Head Coverings: Religious head coverings are allowed if the face is fully visible.
Skin: Avoid shiny or reflective makeup or creams.
Neck Area: No scarves, hoods, or clothing covering the neck.
Tips for Taking the Photo Yourself
Maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres
Use a plain white background
Take the photo in natural daylight if possible
Ensure even lighting with no shadows
Upload at least 5 photos to improve approval chances
Newborns & Children Under 1 Year – Guidelines
Eyes Open: Not required for US passport photos
Clothing: Avoid white outfits
Comfort: Feed and settle the baby before taking the photo
Positioning: Lay the baby on a flat surface with a plain background
